The Management Council of the Ohio Education Computer Network is a body politic and corporate established for the purpose of exercising the rights and privileges conveyed to it by the constitution and laws of the State of Ohio. The Council is a 16 entity consortium organized under Chapter 167 of the Ohio Revised Code as a not-for-profit Council of Governments and is directed by a 16 member Board of Trustees. The Council is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, and more specifically, to plan, promote, and facilitate effective and efficient information technology services for Ohio schools.
