Who We Serve

Since its foundation in the mid-eighties, the Management Council has been a devoted advocate for the entire Ohio Education Computer Network (OECN), championing policies that advance technology in education. Guided by its mission to provide technology solutions that support educational success, the Management Council collaborates with Ohio’s Information Technology Centers to deliver the connectivity, support, software, and digital resources that PreK-12 school districts need to thrive. Legislative advocacy is a cornerstone of this work, driving innovation, equity, and efficiency to ensure Ohio’s schools are prepared for both current and future challenges.

Through its advocacy efforts, the Management Council addresses critical challenges facing Ohio’s education system, including:

• Growing need for cybersecurity funding
• Equitable broadband access for public entities
• Sustainable funding for the Management Council

By engaging with policymakers, state agencies, and education stakeholders, the Management Council ensures that legislative solutions align with the real-world needs of schools and students.
