What We Do

As technology advances at a feverish pace, the need to keep our learners, teachers, and leaders safe online is at the top of every school district’s priority list. We help keep Ohio’s school districts cyber safe by coordinating a statewide effort to implement security tools and standards adoption with consultation from leading cybersecurity experts.

Cybersecurity is integral for schools, which are at high risk of cyberattacks that compromise the safety of educators and school administrators, as well as student privacy. Schools can also lose federal funding or be shut down if they don’t protect student personal information. Through the Management Council, ITCs offer cybersecurity solutions that help protect stored data (personal, fiscal, and school data), enhance data privacy, improve data posture, and help with compliance — to name a few.
